Getting a forum going is always a challenge. Before you start promoting a forum, you need to make sure that there is some good content and good activity. If there is not, then any promotion that is done is not going to count for much. Any visitors that arrives and see that there is no activity is going to leave as quick as they arrived. So getting the forum going early is so important. One way to do this is by getting your contacts to start posting. This may or may not work. Another way is to use paid forum posting.
